The set contains all the parts you need to refurbish your BMW HSR actuator.

The actuator is not an officially serviceable item, but if it fails, it must be replaced according to the instructions. However, a new actuator is quite expensive (1000€-1500€). Often the old actuator can still be repaired. We have put together in this set all the parts you may need when you start repairing your old actuator. However, please note that we cannot guarantee the functionality of the repair, as there may be other faults in the actuator that cannot be repaired with these parts.

The set includes:

Plastic Bushings (2 pcs)

Bushings made of plain bearing plastic are a perfect replacement for the old ones. The original bushings wear out over time and their sealing ability deteriorates. This causes water to get between the bushing and the frame material, causing corrosion and reducing the diameter of the hole. As a result, the original bushing starts to "swell" and move with the axle. In the beginning, this can be heard as a rubbing sound when the rear wheels are turned.

The bushings designed by Lujaparts are made of plain bearing plastic, which is much better suited for this application. The bushings are designed to fit the frame very tightly and thus prevent water from entering the structure.

The material is up to 50 times more wear-resistant than normal plastic grades. No grease is required during installation, as the material is self-lubricating.

Magnet holder for position sensor (1 pc)

The magnetic holder of the position sensor is a common part that breaks down. The part in this set is made of the same plain bearing plastic as the plastic bushings. NOTE! The magnet is not included in the delivery. The magnet must be transferred from the old holder to the new one.

Dummy magnet holder, Assembly Aid (1 pc)

The black holder is meant for assembly aid when you tighten the tie rod ends. It will keep the magnet holder position correct during the assembly process and you prevent any damage to the actual magnetic holder. The actual magnet holder should be installed only after the tie rod ends have been tightened

O-rings (2 pcs)

NBR rubber O-rings of the correct size are suitable for sealing the end parts of the frame.

Nut holder pins (2 pcs)

The nut holder used to secure the control arms may have broken, making it difficult to install the control arm bolt. The kit includes new holders that can be installed if necessary.

Additionally, you will need:

-Silicone for sealing the position sensor

-Tools for installation

-Cleaning supplies (e.g. wire brush, sandpaper)

-Laptop with ISTA software to do the calibration.

-It's recommended to change the nuts for the tie rods(but not necessary). Part number for nut: 33316776652
